HOW WAS IT CONCEIVED?
From the outset, sustainability has been at the heart of the design of our boutique hotel, Dream Guincho.
Architect António Castello Branco of CB Arq designed the property with an eco-conscious approach, using construction techniques that minimize environmental impact. The entire structure of the boutique hotel was built without a single brick, based on a wooden architecture that balances perfectly with the natural landscape.
This choice not only honours the owners’ commitment to environmental responsibility, but also contributes to an atmosphere of warmth and elegance. Sustained for the most part by renewable energy, Dream Guincho thus guarantees a great minimization of the environmental footprint of each guest’s stay of comfort and luxury.
THE DESIGN
Designed by Maria Ana Franco of Fusion Interior Design, Dream Guincho has eight individually designed en-suite bedrooms that create an intimate and personalized experience. Each room combines elements of Portuguese heritage with modern elegance, featuring local artwork, contemporary touches and a calm color palette inspired by the surrounding landscape. Named after classic literary works from different cultures, each room tells its own story, offering guests a space to relax and reconnect with themselves.
The rooms are identified with literary tributes – The Romance of Genji (Japan), The Great Gatsby (USA), Don Quixote (Spain), Anna Karenina (Russia), The Girl from the Sea (Portugal), The Little Prince (France), The Divine Comedy (Italy) and The Rainbow of the Instant (Syria). Each room has the most comfortable beds, a private bathroom with rain shower, modern décor, Castelbel amenities and stunning sea view.
In addition to the luxurious rooms, Dream Guincho also reflects the warm hospitality of a boutique hotel in its outdoor spaces. The landscaped gardens offer breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains, creating a serene haven. Guests can enjoy a heated swimming pool (from May to November), a sauna, a jacuzzi, outdoor terraces and an exercise room, all designed to encourage rest, reflection and connection with the surrounding natural beauty.
OUR COMMON SPACES
The shared spaces at Dream Guincho, typical of a luxury boutique hotel, have been carefully designed to enhance relaxation and connection, blending comfort with the surrounding natural beauty. Guests can retreat to our living room and library, a haven close to the rooms, perfect for quiet reading, drawing or working in peace.
For leisure time, the Snooker Room offers an elegant setting in which to enjoy a friendly game while sipping drinks from the Honesty Bar. The great room and terraces offer versatile spaces for relaxing or socializing, with sofas, a cosy fireplace and outdoor areas that invite you to unwind. Meanwhile, the heated swimming pool (from May to October), sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi offer relaxing getaways, allowing you to enjoy the breathtaking view and serenity of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.
More active guests can take advantage of the exercise room, with options for yoga, tai chi or personal training, while those looking for unique experiences can take part in cooking classes led by Sofia to immerse themselves in Portuguese culinary traditions.

At Dream Guincho, a boutique hotel where attention to detail makes all the difference, we are inspired by the Portuguese tradition of “arte de bem receber”, the art of welcoming with genuine warmth and care. This philosophy is reflected in every aspect of our service. From the moment our guests arrive, every detail is thought of with the utmost care.
Our guests are greeted with traditional “linguas de gato” (a small Portuguese biscuit present in every Portuguese childhood memory) and a glass of Moscatel, a gesture of hospitality that accompanies the check-in process and immediately immerses you in the flavors and warmth of Portugal.

Throughout the hotel you’ll find books (named after the rooms) that you can read while you’re here and take with you if you haven’t finished them… and paintings, all by one of the partners (Carlos Vasconcellos**) who makes Dream Guincho his permanent gallery.
All can be purchased at a special price by guests and sent to Portugal or abroad.
** Carlos Vasconcellos, a self-taught artist, manager and entrepreneur, has been painting modern acrylics for over 20 years, where colors and shapes combine in perfect harmony. He has had several exhibitions and his paintings have participated in various auctions.

KITCHEN
The soul of this boutique hotel of excellence lies in its cuisine, and at Dream Guincho, this tradition is celebrated with passion. Our cuisine is inspired by the authentic flavours of Portugal, offering guests a taste of our country’s gastronomy. From freshly baked bread and regional cheeses to delicious meat and seafood specialties, each meal is prepared with care, using locally sourced ingredients.
Daily, included in the room rate, we serve a copious breakfast prepared while the guests are at the table, and at 5 pm a tea with homemade cake (included in room rate).
Our guests can also enjoy meals tailored to their preferences, served at times that suit their plans. This flexibility guarantees a personalized gastronomic experience, where each dish reflects the warmth and richness of Portuguese cuisine. Whether it’s a family celebration or an intimate dinner, our kitchen is the heart of shared moments and unforgettable flavours.
