COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
DREAM GUINCHO IS A BOUTIQUE HOTEL DESIGNED WITH SUSTAINABILITY AT THE HEART OF EVERY DECISION

SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION
From the start, sustainability was at the heart of the design of our boutique hotel, Dream Guincho. Architect António Castello Branco, from CB Arq, designed the property with an eco-conscious approach, using construction techniques that minimize environmental impact.
The entire structure was built without the use of bricks, based on wooden architecture and rock wool cladding, materials which, as well as guaranteeing excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, promote a lighter, more efficient construction that is integrated into the environment. This architectural solution contributes to lower energy consumption throughout the year, reinforcing the harmony between the building and the surrounding natural landscape.
This choice not only reflects the owners’ commitment to environmental responsibility, but also contributes to a welcoming and elegant atmosphere, true to the spirit of a true boutique hotel.

SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES
Sustainability is also a central pillar of everyday life at Dream Guincho, guiding operational decisions with the same precision and care that guides design and hospitality.
From the energy supply, guaranteed 50% by solar panels, to the separation and treatment of waste, the reuse of food and the selection of ecological products for the laundry, all operational decisions are made with environmental awareness and attention to detail.
The commitment to solar energy substantially reduces dependence on conventional sources, while waste management and food reuse reflect an active commitment to reducing waste and recovering resources.
The use of ecological detergents and environmentally friendly practices in laundry reinforces this commitment in aspects that are often invisible, but profoundly significant in their cumulative impact on daily routines.
These practices, implemented with consistency and dedication, not only reduce the environmental impact of the operation but also enrich the guest experience, promoting a more conscious and harmonious way of being.
